Access Health CT is Connecticut’s official health insurance marketplace, established to satisfy the requirements of the federal Affordable Care Act.

Our mission is to increase the number of insured residents, improve health care quality, lower costs and reduce health disparities through an innovative, competitive marketplace that empowers consumers to choose the health plan and providers that give them the best value.

Access Heath CT Small Business can assist companies with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees to offer a menu of insurance options to their employees. Giving employees a range of quality health care coverage options to choose from can go a long way toward keeping employees happier and healthier.

Benefits Of Access Health CT Small Business

  • You control the coverage you offer and how much you pay toward employee premiums.
  • You can choose from 4 levels of coverage to find a plan that meets the needs of your business and employees.
  • You can start coverage any month of the year. Enroll by the 15th of the month and coverage can begin on the 1st of the following month.
  • If you buy SHOP coverage and have fewer than 25 full-time equivalent employees, you may qualify for a small business health care tax credit worth up to 50% of your premium costs. You can still deduct from your taxes the rest of your premium costs not covered by the tax credit. This tax credit is available only for plans purchased through Access Health CT Small Business.
